Fae Farm Installs the Last Version for iOS: A Frustrating Experience

As a fan of Fae Farm, I was excited to install the latest version on my iOS device. However, the experience quickly turned sour due to numerous connection drops and issues with playing online with friends.

One of the most frustrating aspects was when one player would be booted out of the game, and we wouldn't be able to play together for over an hour. This made it difficult to enjoy the game with my family, as we had to wait extensively before being able to play again.

Even in solo play, there were some caveats that came with any positives I could say about the game. For instance, setting up an invite using the Switch's invite menu outside of the game's menus was necessary just to play together. But when we tried this, it wouldn't find either of our accounts or my spouse's.

Online play proved to be very frustrating as well. Pheonix Labs requires players to register an account with them to play online, which is standard procedure. However, the game then demands that you look up friends using their Phoenix Lab account. I had two Switches placed side by side, but it still couldn't detect that one of the games was hosting a world.

Local Co-op matchmaking simply didn't work on the Switch version, which was disappointing considering I purchased two copies to play with my family. Many promises made about the game were not delivered, and this lack of functionality left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.
